About SULPHONIC

Sulphur 55.16% SC is a highly effective, flowable Suspension Concentrate (SC) of elemental sulphur used in agriculture. It serves a triple-action purpose as a contact fungicide (primarily for powdery mildew and scab), an acaricide (for mites), and a vital plant nutrient to correct deficiencies and boost crop yields.

Key Details & Application

Mode of Action: Because it is formulated as a micro-sized SC, it disperses uniformly in water, sticks firmly to leaves, and kills fungi and mites through direct contact.
Target Crops: Commonly used on grapes, mangoes, and various fruits and vegetables.
Application Rates:
- Foliar Spray: 500 to 700 ml per acre (or about 3 ml per litre of water).
- Soil Application: 1 to 1.5 litres per acre.

Agronomic Benefits: It serves as a secondary macronutrient, stimulates photosynthesis, enhances chlorophyll production, and can increase oil content in oilseed crops (like mustard and soybeans)
