About Nazneen Agricultural Insecticides

Pyriproxyfen, Diafenthiuron, and Dinotefuran are combined in insecticides to control sucking pests like whiteflies, aphids, jassids, and thrips on crops such as cotton, brinjal, tomato, chilli, okra, and other vegetables.

Pest Control and Mode of Action

• Dinotefuran (5%): A systemic neonicotinoid that binds to nicotinic acetylcholine receptors in the insect nervous system, causing rapid paralysis and death within 2448 hours. It is effective against actively feeding pests like whitefly adults, aphids, and jassids 
• Diafenthiuron (18%): A contact and vapor-active thiourea that inhibits mitochondrial oxidative phosphorylation, cutting off the pest's energy supply. It is particularly effective against thrips and whitefly nymphs, including populations resistant to neonicotinoids 
• Pyriproxyfen (8%): An insect growth regulator (IGR) that mimics juvenile hormone, sterilizing adult females, disrupting nymph development, and preventing pupae from completing metamorphosis. It does not kill adults directly but prevents reproduction and population buildup 

Crop Applications

These chemicals are formulated together in products like Ronfen, PILOT, and TrianT and are used on a variety of crops:

• Vegetables: Brinjal, tomato, chilli, okra
• Cash crops: Cotton
• Other vegetables: Mixed vegetable crops where sucking pests are prevalent
